The Third International Conference on Polyamines: Biochemical, Physiological and Clinical Perspectives will be held at the Itamambuca Eco Resort, Ubatuba-SP, Brazil, from August 31 to September 5, 2014.

Conference Scope

The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to the biochemical and pathophysiological properties of polyamines. The scientific program will focus on the metabolism of polyamines, their essential role in cell growth and differentiation in several groups of organisms and, especially, their role in a variety of pathologies, with a special emphasis on cancer. The polyamine pathway as a target for drug development for cancer treatment or chemoprevention will also be a central theme.

The main goal of the conference is to promote scientific exchange among research groups highly qualified in different but interrelated fields and to foster collaborative investigations in the areas represented in the conference.

2) Shuttle Service

The Shuttle Service for the “Third International Conference on Polyamines” will be available in:

  • The morning of August 31 (from 7:00 am to 10:00 am) from the São Paulo International Airport at Guarulhos (GRU) to the Itamambuca Eco Resort.
  • The shuttle service will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis (14 people/van). For those who will arrive in São Paulo before August 31, please make sure to be at the meeting point prior to 10:00 am.
  • The morning of September 5 (at 10:15 am) from the Itamambuca Eco Resort to the São Paulo International Airport at Guarulhos (GRU).

Meeting Point

Most of the participants arriving on August 31 will be on flights landing at terminal 2. Therefore, the meeting point will be just outside the international arrival gate (right side) of terminal 2.

For those arriving on terminal 1: After exiting through the international arrival gate, you should leave the building and take the sidewalk to your right to reach the meeting point on terminal 2, just outside the international arrival gate (black arrows on the attached map).

For those arriving on terminal 3: After exiting through the international arrival gate, you should take the escalator to the first floor and follow the airport signs to reach terminal 2. When you arrive to the terminal 2 center, you have to go back to the ground floor to reach the meeting point on terminal 2, just outside the international arrival gate (blue arrows on the attached map).

4) Visa Requirement

Please check with your travel agent or Brazilian Embassy/Consulate if you’re required a visa to enter in Brazil.

Brazil has different visa requirement policy with several countries.
